Don't let the title of this album scare you, just cause it has Gothic in the title doesn't mean it's some sort of Rock album. I like the ambiance, it will create a very creepy atmosphere for your haunted house, Halloween party might not if you plan to use music. I would use this if you are creating a haunted house outside, it would be awesome to use if you make a graveyard or even some place outside. The 2nd track which states it's a graveyard the first track sounds better for a graveyard though if you only want to use this album having both tracks going at the same time is perfect. Enjoy.

I downloaded this from Amazon, it is basically two tracks one ranging from 60 minutes then the next is almost 80 minutes. It seems to be the same kind of music but hey it's worth it if you are the kind of person to use an album that will range in 2 hours and 30 minutes. It was only 2 dollars off Amazon enjoy. As always the bit rate on Amazon MP3's are possibly around 224kbps which is better than 128kbps. Enjoy.

This one is the largest I've ever done since it comes with 2 CD's and both are well over an hour so I have included disc 1 and 2 on one download. I first went to Spirit Halloween they didn't have ANY scary sounds, went to a RIP Halloween they didn't have any, then went to a Halloween Super Store and ended up finding this for $9.99. They had other Midnight Syndicate but I would be paying a fortune to buy them all but I decided to buy this one cause it seemed to be the only interesting one. Thank god I bought it cause someone on the Halloween forum was needing this, so I guess everybody wins a chance to grab this album. Enjoy.

I think that's enough information to go by, I got these off a torrent site and thank god I was able to obtain all of the books well the three of them that they made. I believe whoever ripped them, got them from an audio CD cause the cassette version of the tape only had a few stories on them this one has ALL of the stories for the first book read by George S. Irving. They didn't have any kind of covers so I decided to make covers for all three audiobooks. What do you think of them? Cool huh?

I tried to make them look like the vintage books when they were first released, even added a discolored white to them cause I am sure if you kept them as a kid the white on the book would fade and become all nasty looking. To think this was for kids, pictures scared the shit out of me as a child and I can't believe that they would release them again but remove those creepy disturbing illustrations by Stephen Gammell. Anyways here you go! Enjoy, I will be uploading the other audiobooks when I have the time.

You might be asking yourself this question. "Why the hell is he uploading this a third time?" well to answer that question I felt that I needed to rip the album in 320 instead of 256kbps. That doesn't mean I will be uploading all these albums I have for you in 320 just certain ones. But I did manage to buy two new Halloween CD's and will be sharing them with you. By the way I will rip some albums in FLAC my favorite ones that is. :)

Also I found Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark books 1 through 3 in audiobook format read by George S. Irving. Thankfully the torrent I downloaded it from was almost close to dead but I will keep that album going forever by sharing it here with you. I also made cool looking covers for them too.

I also did redesign the cover for Scary Sounds of Halloween since that Amazon version was only 500 x 500 so decided to make a 700 x 700 version cover and encode the entire album again in 320kbps. So hopefully you guys enjoy this until I can get everything ripped again and uploaded. Expect a few more updates through September and possibly October if I manage to get my hands on any new albums. THANKS!

Also a heads up, I learned sharebee is becoming more and more shady! So I am going to start using multiupload, I know they could very well be shady just like sharebee so I will be posting up their host links too. If multiupload takes a huge dump on me I will have the links they provided for me so they will be mirrored by several sites until those links die then I would need to use something else. Download all you can with sharebee I will be doing my daily check to see if any of those older links are working and if it ends up being down to one link I will download it and re-upload to multiupload.

The Most Famous Phantom

Late on a rainy, dreary Saturday evening in November, Jim Hamelton found himself driving down a deserted road north of Chicago. He was returning from a business trip that had been much longer than he had expected, and he was exhausted. It was an effort just to keep his eyes open and on the road.

Then his headlights picked up something white and fluttering alongside the road up ahead. At first he thought it was just a trick of his tired eyes, but as he drew closer he could make out the figure of a girl wearing a long, white dress. She was standing there in the rain trying to hitch a ride. Tired as he was, there was no way Jim could possibly ignore such a pathetic-looking creature.

He stopped the car just a few feet from the hitchhiker, and as she walked up to the window he got a good look at her. She couldn't have been more than sixteen or seventeen years old. Her hair was drenched and hung limply over her face, and she looked miserable, though it was clear that she could be quite pretty under better conditions. Worst of all, her thin white, party dress was completely inadequate for the weather. She was shivering visibly.

"This is a bad place to try to get a ride, particularly at this time of night," said Jim.

"I know," she replied quietly. "I feel as if I have been standing here forever."

Jim asked the girl where she was going, and she gave him an address on the northwest side of Chicago. Jim told her she was lucky, because he had to go right by that area, and would be able to drop her off at her front door.

The girl asked Jim if he would mind if she got into the backseat of the car and lay down for a nap, as she was very tired. That was fine with him, so she climbed into the backseat of Jim's two-door Chevy. She thanked him again, and then apparently curled up on the backseat to sleep, for he heard nothing from her.

Naturally, Jim was curious as to why the girl was standing out on a deserted road in the middle of a rainy night. But she didn't seem anxious to talk about her predicament, and he didn't want to pry. "I'll just do my good deed and go home," he thought.

It was about thirty miles from the spot where Jim had picked up the girl to the address in the city she had given him. He had no trouble finding the place.

He pulled up in front of a modest, brick house. "I guess this is it," he said. "You're probably glad to get home."

There was no response. "This is the place, isn't it?" he said more loudly. Still no response. Jim turned and looked at the backseat. It was empty!

Quickly, Jim went over the events in his mind. He had picked up the girl and she got into the backseat of a two-door car. He had driven nonstop for about thirty miles. There was no possible way that anyone could have gotten out of the car, yet she was gone.

For a moment Jim toyed with the idea of simply driving away, and trying to forget the whole thing. But this was a mystery he could not ignore. Slowly and reluctantly, he got out of his car and went up to the front door of the brick house. He rang the bell and waited, a bit apprehensively. After a few seconds, a light inside was switched on, and he heard footsteps coming toward the door. When the door opened, a middle-aged couple who had obviously just gotten out of bed, stared at him. "Yes, what is it?" said the man.

For a moment, Jim didn't know what to say. "Look I'm really sorry to wake you up at this time of night, but about the girl who lives here..." Jim was unable to finish, for the couple stared at him with a mixture of anger and horror.

"We live here alone," said the man. "No girl lives here."

"I must have made some sort of mistake," said Jim. He was about to turn and leave when he saw a framed photograph on the wall, behind the couple. The face was bright, smiling, and very pretty, but it was, without a doubt, the face of the hitchhiking girl in the white dress. "That girl, the girl in the photograph on the wall, that's who I'm talking about."

The woman screamed, and the man clenched his fists as if he were about to hit Jim.

"I don't know what you think you're doing, young man," he growled. "That's a picture of our daughter. She was killed in an automobile accident, about thirty miles north of here, exactly one year ago."

You may have heard that story, or something very like it, before. It's called "The Phantom Hitchhiker," and it is without a double the most famous and widely told ghost story in America, perhaps in the world. No one knows where or how this story began, or how much truth there may be behind it. All we do know is that a lot of people have believed in hitchhiking ghosts, and have for a long time.

There are a tremendous number of variations of the phantom hitchhiker story, some quite old.

Eleanor Tabori was driving home late one night. The road was deserted and the weather was beginning to turn nasty. She glanced down at her gas gauge, and the needle was quivering on Empty. She knew she was low on gas, but she didn't figure she was that low. There probably wouldn't be a gas station open at this time of night. But she consoled herself with the thought that it was only a few more miles before she was home, and there was always a little gas in the tank even when it registered Empty. She would probably have enough gas to make it-probably.

As she came over the top of a hill, her headlights picked up the figure of a man standing at the side of the road. He was wearing a long, gray overcoat, and had his thumb stuck out. He was hitchhiking. As she drew nearer, Eleanor got a closer look at the man. He had a vacant, almost crazed expression on his square, unshaven face. Eleanor, who thought it was dangerous to pick up hitchhikers anyway, certainly wasn't about to give a lift to anyone who looked like that, particularly in the middle of the night.

The man in the gray coat caught Eleanor's eye as she drove past. It was a chilling glance, and she was glad when he was out of sight. But Eleanor came over the top of another hill, she saw another figure standing at the side of the road. And as she drew closer, she had a sickening realization. This was not another hitchhiker, it was exactly the same man she had seen just a mile or so back. There was no way he could possibly have gotten ahead of her, yet there he was, and he was staring directly at her. His lips were drawn back from his teeth in a hideous smile.

Eleanor pressed the accelerator to the floor and swept on past him in a surge of power. As she glanced down at the gas gauge, the needle gave a slight shudder and came to rest just below Empty.

"Oh, please, it isn't far now. There must be some gas left, there must be!" she thought.

Eleanor's car climbed another hill, and it felt like it was slowing down, as if it were running out of gas, though that may have been Eleanor's frantic imagination.

As she came over the crest of the hill, she was afraid to look over to the side of the road, but she had to. There was the man in the gray coat once again. This time there had been a change. Before, he had been sticking his thumb out. His hand was still extended, but now he seemed to be holding something. As she got closer, Eleanor realized what it was he was holding. It was a large knife.

Now the car really was slowing down. Eleanor could feel it, and the engine was sputtering, as if starved for fuel. She was close to home; if the car could only make it over the next hill, she could actually coast right into her own driveway, and then she would be safe. Would the car make it?

The sheriff found Eleanor's body slumped over the wheel of her car. She had been stabbed to death. The sheriff figured she had picked up a hitchhiker who killed her. It was strange that there was no sign of robbery. Needless to say, the murder was never apprehended.

Reuploading the same CD I had ripped a couple of years ago but ripping it at higher quality and for some reason iTunes changed the name of the CD. Its still the remixed CD that was from that cassette tape Halloween Sounds of Horror but with added sounds so for any new comers that want this at higher quality here you go.

Also it seems that sharebee is being very rude to me and not letting me upload files that are higher than 100MB. Grrr I will be using megaupload from now on.

The 1st disc is the one CD I disliked the most in the past where they use sounds and it all sounds like they reversed it all to make it sound scary. The 2nd disc is the old Goosebumps CD but without the themes, also I think the sounds aren't that very clear as compared to the Goosebumps CD which seem very clear. Enjoy.

I'm reuploading some older albums that I consider to be my favorite ones, Scary Sounds of Halloween was the one album which got me into Scary Sounds. I also saw that Amazon has this MP3 on their website with the original cover with the cat so I embedded the original cover on the MP3 and ripped it at a higher quality of 256 kbps (VBR) instead of the CBR of 192. As you can see I posted up a few albums with inactive links to download. Well my original plan was to go to class and upload all the albums (590MB) in 10 minutes with the School's fast Internet speed. Well it looks like that didn't happen so I am trying my best to upload them, the Haunted Mansion Soundtrack link is now dead I'm uploading it to sharebee so it can distribute to more than one file upload site. I bought two discs both were basically the same but the first disc had weird problems with the audio so I went with using the Skeleton Disc which has a better design than the first one. This basically might of been from an old record updated to a CD but it's still nice to listen to. Some people will probably yawn and say cheap effects was used to make this album but I do believe this audio dates back into the 80's. But you might be able to tell from the cheap effects from the actual old ones.

I was very glad to have found this disc on sale at amazon.com, it's rare to find it now, unless you find it on eBay used. Thankfully when I bought it, it was still in it's shrink wrap not even open, not a single scratch. I've been searching the Internet of MP3's of this album only to come across with them half of the audio missing or the remaining part nothing but loud pops and cracks. You might actually remember this album back in the early 90's. It might not be as popular as A Night in A Haunted House / A Night In A Graveyard but it's still up there with the Scary Sounds albums.

The White Wolf

The timber wolves around French Creek had gotten out of hand. There were so many wolves, the farmers could not stop them from killing their cattle and sheep. So the state put a bounty on them. It would pay a hunter ten dollars for every wolf pelt he turned in.

A butcher in town named Bill Williams thought that was pretty good money. He stopped working as a butcher and started killing wolves. He was good at it. Every year he killed over five hundred of them. That came to more than five thousand dollars. It was quite a bit of money in those days.

After four or five years, Bill had killed so many wolves, there were hardly any left in that area. So he retired and vowed never to harm another wolf because wolves had made him rich.

Then one day a farmer reported that a white wolf had killed two of his sheep. He had shot at it and hit it, but the bullets didn't have any effect. Soon that wolf was seen all over the countryside, killing and running. But nobody could stop it.

One night it came into Bill's yard and killed his pet cow. Bill forgot about his decision never to harm another wolf. He went into town the next morning and bought a young lamb for bait. He took it out into the hills and tied it to a tree. Then he backed off about fifty yards and sat down under another tree. With his gun in his lap, he waited.

When Bill didn't come back, his friends started looking for him. Finally they found the lamb. It was still tied to a tree. It was hungry, but it was alive. Then they found Bill. He was still sitting against the other tree, but he was dead. His throat had been torn open.

But there was no sign of a struggle. His gun hadn't been fired. And there were no tracks in the soil around him. As for the white wolf, it was never seen again.
